Yes

Zoom Room, a nationwide chain of dog training centers, has recently come under scrutiny for depriving customers of their paid-for training sessions.  Zoom Room sells dog training classes in pre-paid multi-class packages.  However, Zoom Room’s class packages have expiration dates.  After the expiration date, customers cannot redeem the classes but have to purchase a new package of sessions.

If you bought a package of dog training classes from Zoom Room and your package expired with unused sessions, call us today.  You may be entitled to compensation.

State and federal law forbid businesses from selling “gift certificates” that have expiration dates.  Under these laws, a package of classes may constitute a gift certificate.  Because Zoom Room’s class packages have expiration dates, Zoom Room may be liable to you for the unused dog training sessions.  You could be owed money for the value of any sessions that “expired” before you could use them.

Attorneys at CounselOne are investigating potential violations of California’s Gift Certificate Law and a similar federal law.  If you’ve purchased classes from Zoom Room and had your classes expire, we’d love to hear from you. You may be entitled to compensation.
